Who can apply for a BuyRIGHT prepaid debit card?

In compliance with the U.S. Patriot Act and other laws, you must be a U.S. resident over 18 with a valid social security number or Government Issued ID and a verifiable address to open an account and order a debit card. Currently we do not issue prepaid debit cards to residents of Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa or other U.S. territories.

How long will it take to get my BuyRIGHT prepaid debit card?
The delivery time depends on the delivery service and payment method you choose. Regular mail shipments will arrive 7-10 days from the date that we receive your activation fee. Express mail shipments cost $15 and will arrive 3-5 business days from the date that we receive your activation fee.

Please note that activation fee payments made by e-check, cashier’s check or non-U.S. Postal Service money order will take longer, as funds are held 5-10 business days before being credited to your account. All other payment methods (direct deposit, credit card, debit card or U.S. Postal Service money order) are credited to your account as soon as we receive them.
